Dawson Jones Recruitment is working with a large social housing organisation in the West Midlands to recruit an experienced Voids and Lettings Senior Manager.
This is a senior leadership opportunity with responsibility for the delivery and continued development of a large-scale voids and lettings service. The successful candidate will provide both strategic and operational leadership, with a strong focus on performance, customer experience and continuous improvement.
You will be joining an organisation with an ambitious improvement agenda and will play an important role in ensuring empty homes are returned to use efficiently, properties are let successfully and services eliver positive outcomes for residents.
Duties
• Responsibility for the overall performance and delivery ofthe voids and lettings service
• Supporting and developing managers and operational teams, creating clear accountability and a strong performance culture
• Driving improvements in void turnaround times, letting times, rent loss and customer outcomes
• Using performance information and KPIs to identify trends, address areas of underperformance and inform service priorities
• Developing and delivering improvement plans and programmes of work to achieve measurable and sustainable results
• Working collaboratively across repairs, housing management and other service areas to improve the end-to-end void and lettings process
• Overseeing budgets and resources, ensuring effective service delivery and value for money
• Building and maintaining strong working relationships with senior colleagues,partners and key stakeholders
• Ensuring services are delivered in accordance with relevant housing legislation, regulatory requirements and organisational policies
• Leading teams through change and supporting the implementation of new and improved ways of working
Experience and Skills Required
• Significant senior management experience within a social housing environment
• Strong knowledge and practical experience of voids and lettings services
• Experience of leading large operational teams, including managing and developing other managers
• A demonstrable track record of improving service performance and delivering against challenging targets
• Strong understanding of void performance, lettings, rent loss and the wider customer journey
• Experience of using performance data and management information to identify issues and improve service delivery
• Strong financial, budget and resource management experience
• Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills
• Experience of leading change, transformation or significant service improvement
• Good working knowledge of the legislative and regulatory requirement affecting social housing
