Repairs and Maintenance Manager
West Yorkshire | Contract | £300 - £320 per day
Dawson Jones Recruitment is supporting a client in West Yorkshire with the appointment of an experienced Repairs and Maintenance Manager on a contract basis with the potential for it to go permanent.
This is a key operational role, responsible for leading the delivery of responsive repairs, voids and planned maintenance services, ensuring performance, compliance and customer satisfaction across the service.
The Role
- Lead day-to-day delivery of responsive repairs, voids and planned works across the housing stock.
- Manage contractor and in-house team performance, ensuring KPIs, service standards and compliance requirements are met.
- Drive improved void turnaround times and effective management of planned works programmes.
- Monitor budgets, costs and contractor spend, ensuring value for money and cost control.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety, statutory obligations and housing regulatory standards.
- Manage operational issues, escalations and stakeholder engagement across the organisation.
- Provide leadership, direction and support to operational teams and contractors.
Experience required
- Proven experience in a senior repairs or maintenance role within housing or a similar environment.
- Strong understanding of responsive repairs, voids and planned maintenance delivery.
- Experience managing contractors, budgets and service performance frameworks.
- Confident leader with the ability to stabilise and improve services quickly.
- Strong operational, commercial and stakeholder management skills
